Cobblestones in Germany
Cobblestones in use is 2004.
As you can see, these are a newer type cobblestone. An entire parking lot is made from cobblestones. It can be an art on how they are laid. Different patterns are used in different situations and with different types of stone. These are manufactured stones. A big advantage with cobblestones is if the work ever has to be dug up (for a pipe, line, or whatever), the stones are removed and hole is dug. When the work is finished, the hole is filled and the stones relaid. No cost for replacing the stones. When they are relaid, it is just like new again.

Sidewalks can be made from cobblestones.
This is a common site in Germany. You can see that the weeds will try to grow between the stones. |

Here is our car parked in a cobblestone parking lot.
We have the 'German Type' license plate. If you look closely, you can see the 100 mile an hour bug splats on the bumper.

This parking lot is so new, it is not even finished yet. The sealant has not yet been put on. They are still putting sand between the stones. It is an art that is still here today.
